However, there is a finish line, and whether or not I get everything done, once I hit the 18th this will all be over, no matter what. So I take comfort in that things will look up eventually, and the harder I crack down now, the more I have to look up to.
There is a drive that comes to you once you catch glimpse of the finish line, no matter what it is you're doing. Once you see it, you think, "That is where this is finished. Let's go!" Sometimes, you even get to the finish line and think, "I could stop here, but I have a bit more in me. Maybe I can take things a little farther for some extra bonus. One example of this was when I worked at a supermarket. My shift would go for about 3 hours, and I would watch the clock like a hawk until freedom finally found its way to me. But, sometimes I would think, "Why not stay five more minutes and make an extra buck or two?" Suddenly the stay seems all worth it when you think of the time you already logged and the reward that lies ahead.
To those of you panting and breaking down, I feel your pain! Let's do it! YEAH! MAKE IT TO THE FINISH LINE!!! And just to help hype you up, I included a funny picture.
