I will write here what I have been telling everybody who asks me how my year has been going: I could not have asked for a better freshman year. Sure, I have had a lot of really trying times (to put it lightly), but for what I have gained and learned, not many freshmen can say they had. Classes are very difficult, but also interesting and good learning experiences. I have made some very close friends that I hope I will not lose contact with; they have become my new family. They make all the work I do worth it when I get to hang out with them again. I have also made huge strides in my own self-sufficiency, taking care of my own business with a cool head and purposeful approach. The best thing that has happened to me, however, was being accepted into BYU Singers. Singers has pushed me to a level I never thought was possible for me to achieve as a musician, but also boosts my faith in my Savior. Being in that group as a freshman is a crazy accomplishment, and I find appreciation for it every day.
However, everything is colliding to deadlines next week, and I am kinda freaking out about how to do it all. Hopefully I will find the time, energy, and focus to pull it together before my net starts missing assignments. Oh boy....
